Success!

Step 1: Hearing + device check

We assess your hearing and test your devices for compatibility.

We begin with a complete hearing assessment  and functional check of your hearing aids to ensure they are still suitable for your hearing needs.

A tiny microphone measures how your hearing aids perform inside your ear canal, so we can fine-tune the settings with precision – just like custom lenses for glasses.

Step 2: Collaborative discussion

We talk through your results and explore next steps together.

After your hearing assessment and device check:

  • If your hearing aids are a good match, we’ll invite you into our Adoption plan.
  • If your devices aren’t meeting your needs, we’ll explain why — and whether replacement might be more effective or even more cost-efficient. You can also learn more about our Hearing aid treatment plan  Add link to ‘Hearing Aid Treatment Plan’ page if you’re ready for a fresh start.
Step 3: Treatment route

Choose between our Adoption Plan or a new fitting — no pressure.

Both our Adoption plan and New Hearing Aid Treatment plan come with a 2-month time frame where we work collaboratively to ensure you are hearing your absolute best.

Step 4: Success!

Most people notice improvement after just one visit.

Follow-ups and fine-tuning are scheduled to ensure your devices work for your real-world needs. Fitting hearing aids well is a process and we are committed to maximizing your hearing ability and quality of life.

Our FAQ

I spent thousands and still don’t hear well. Now what?

You’re not alone. We’ve met many people who feel disheartened or even ashamed after spending money on devices that didn’t deliver. But the process isn’t over. We’re here to start fresh and help you get the benefit you expected—without judgment.

How do I know if it’s the hearing aids — and not me?

This is one of the most common questions we hear.

Everyone’s hearing is as unique as a fingerprint. For some people, only a 10% improvement is realistic. For others, hearing aids can double, triple, or even further increase a person’s access to sound. In our assessment, we carefully outline (1) what you have access to without hearing aids, (2) what you get with them presently, and (3) what further improvement might be possible.

Your hearing aids should be verified with Real Ear Measurement and adjusted to your individual hearing needs. If this wasn’t done — or if follow-up care was rushed or minimal — then your devices may never have had a fair shot.

How do I know if my hearing aids are even set up properly?

Without hearing aid verification, you don’t. One of the most accurate ways to verify your hearing aids are working properly is through a procedure called Real Ear Measurement (REM). It allows your audiologist to measure how sound is delivered right at your eardrum—helping to ensure the settings are appropriate for your hearing loss and ear shape. It’s similar to checking your eyeglass prescription: precise measurement leads to a better fit. REM is considered best practice in hearing aid fitting and is included in our Adoption Plan to help us tailor your care more effectively.

Why isn’t a hearing test enough to program my hearing aids?

Hearing tests measure your hearing—but not how sound behaves in your ear canal. That’s why we use Real Ear Measurement (REM). A tiny microphone placed in your ear allows us to fine-tune your devices accurately and comfortably. It’s considered the best practice and recommended with every new fitting and annually afterward.

I’ve had my hearing aids for years — Can you still improve the fitting?

In many cases, YES.

We often meet people whose hearing aids are in excellent condition — but weren’t used much because the fit or programming didn’t feel quite right. Sometimes they were never fully verified. Sometimes they just weren’t comfortable.

Before jumping to replacement, we start by checking if your current devices are still a good match — both functionally and for your hearing needs. From there, even small programming or fit adjustments can lead to big improvements in how things sound and feel.

If your devices can be salvaged, we’ll help you get the most out of them.

If not, we’ll explain why — and guide you toward better options with transparency.

My hearing aids don’t help in background noise. Can anything help?

Even with great programming, noisy environments can be challenging. A remote microphone accessory can improve speech clarity by sending a speaker’s voice directly into your hearing aids. We can help determine if this is right for your needs.

What if my hearing aids are too old or can’t be adjusted?

If your devices are no longer suitable, we’ll let you know—but only after we’ve explored every option to make them work. You’re under no obligation to purchase new ones through us.

How long do hearing aids typically last?

Most hearing aids last about five years, depending on use, maintenance, and overall condition. We’ll help you determine whether yours are still within their useful life.
